Dahi Bhalla

Dahi Bhalla is a type of chaat (snack) originating from the Indian subcontinent and popular throughout South Asia. It is prepared by soaking bhalla (fried flour balls) in thick dahi.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup  Curd
  • 2.0 Tbsp Mangatram Urad Dal
  • 2.0 Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • 1/2 Tsp Jeera
  • 1/2 Tsp Black Pepper
  •  1/2 Tsp Jeera Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Powder Red Chilly
  • 1/2 Tsp Sugar
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 2.0 Tsp Oil
  • 60.0 Ml Water 

How To Cook Dahi Bhalla

In a bowl, add Mangatram black urad dal paste, 1/2 tsp jeera, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper and mix.

Heat oil for frying, put small portions of dough in oil and fry till golden brown.

Soak the vada in water for 5 min and squeeze out excess water.

In a bowl, add 1/2 cup Curd, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp sugar and whisk.

Pour the Curd on soaked vada.

Add 1/8 tsp red chilli powder, 1/8 tsp jeera powder, 2 tsp chopped coriander leaves on top.
